Suzi

" Fronting the band is the stunning Suzi Ryan  - the angel in ANGELHEART.   And what a voice!  The corrosive precision of a blowtorch with the hurricane force of a Rolls Royce Olympus engine ...when the afterburners kick-in!  When tonsils were handed out she got the case-hardened ball bearings!  It's not just power either - there is a huge range up and down the octaves, and of course the basic requirement, she is in time and in tune.  Sure, the band are all excellent musicians, but the Angel is a revelation.  Rock heaven! " ~ Warminster Journal

Mal

Small, rotund, but otherwise perfectly formed, if you look closely you may just catch a glimpse of Mal sat behind his much loved Tama Starclassic Performer drum kit.  Yet this mighty 'tub-thumping' power-house is the  band's engine room!

A founding member of ANGELHEART, Mal has over 30 years experience at home and abroad, with  TV & radio appearances supporting the likes of Frankie Ford, Johnny Powers, Wilko Johnson, Wishbone Ash, Peter Green...to name but a few !

Mal is an endorsed artist by Soultone Cymbals

Huw

Huw can usually be seen playing his silvertop Patrick Eggle 'Berlin Pro', his main workhorse guitar since 1996.  His taste in music is pretty diverse, so he loves the variety of artists and songs ANGELHEART covers.  That means he's often challenged to try to emulate more than just straight guitar parts in the songs  to provide that  richer sound which has become a recognisable part of ANGELHEART's performances - and he does a pretty good job of it.  With his black baseball cap, it's been said that he reminds people of Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine fame!

When he's not working or performing with the band, he likes to go camping in the Arctic!

James

James joined ANGELHEART in January 2023.   Having  previousy played with Huw and Mal in a  function band back in the mid '90s  he went on to produce live sound and play bass with several well known acts including  Mike d'Abo - former lead singer with '60s pop group Manfred Mann, and composer of ever-popular hits Build Me Up Buttercup and  Handbags and Gladrags.
